چکیده

One of the most environmentally friendly methods to treat wastewater, especially synthetic dyes, is production activated carbon from agricultural waste. Tamarind seeds were transformed negative-value waste into in order study removal dyes. The particular agro was soaked ZnCl2 for chemical activation increase its surface area and enhance porosity. Physical tamarind done by carbonization process burning at a temperature 300 °C 1 hour cooling 24 hours before washing with HCL activate pore seeds' carbon. effects parameters related adsorption dyes seed carbon, such as contact time, initial concentration, absorbance dosage, pH, studied. experimental data found that on both exhibited Langmuir isotherm which correlation value, R2, 0.9227 (methylene blue) 0.6117 (Reactive black 5). Meanwhile, rate methylene blue (MB) Reactive 5 (RB5) be well fitted pseudo-second-order model. More research needed meet standard effluent dyeing wastewater industrial sector.

Characterization and Properties of Activated Carbon Prepared from Tamarind Seeds by KOH Activation for Fe(III) Adsorption from Aqueous Solution

This research studies the characterization of activated carbon from tamarind seed with KOH activation. The effects of 0.5 : 1-1.5 : 1 KOH : tamarind seed charcoal ratios and 500-700°C activation temperatures were studied. FTIR, SEM-EDS, XRD, and BET were used to characterize tamarind seed and the activated carbon prepared from them. Proximate analysis, percent yield, iodine number, methylene bl...

Treatment of Reactive Black 5 by combined electrocoagulation-granular activated carbon adsorption-microwave regeneration process.

Treatment of an azo dye, Reactive Black 5 (RB5) by combined electrocoagulation-activated carbon adsorption-microwave regeneration process was evaluated. The toxicity was also monitored by the Vibrio fischeri light inhibition test. GAC of 100 g L(-1) sorbed 82% of RB5 (100 mg L(-1)) within 4h. RB5-loaded GAC was not effectively regenerated by microwave irradiation (800 W, 30s). Electrocoagulatio...
